Alright gang, I’m back from my holiday trip! It’s given me time to reflect and organize my thoughts long enough to come up with an effective plan for 2013 to balance out my work load and reorganize projects.

On the months that comics are NOT coming out through my other division (Sonadow Online Entertainment), I will be pouring my focusing efforts into Sonic Remix Studios projects; more specifically shows for Sonic Radio and Sonic R TV. I have a few ideas that I can’t discuss quite yet. Keep an eye out for an important Sonic R TV announcement within the next week or two regarding the airing of Eddie Lebron’s “SONIC” fan film that Sonic Remix Studios is a producer for. =)
From the Sonic Radio archives, I have an old audio commercial for SonicUnderground.net available to hear - http://www.sonicradio.net/home/audio/
Wanted to hear what Sonic Radio was like 13 years ago? Now you can find out here as I have bits and pieces of old Sonic Radio shows here! - http://www.sonicradio.net/home/podcasts/old-sonic-radio-podcasts/
So the other night I… (As in just ShadowRemix here ^_^ ) decided to jump on a stream and watch a small game of Transformice (A decent little game you can enjoy with your frieds over at their site Transformice.com ).
I sat there and watching a friend of mine play this game with many other people in the stream when I noticed that for some reason a Sonic Radio bump had played. I knew I wasn’t tuning in, turned to the computer we have set up to monitor the radio remotely, and saw that the bump had indeed just played. Someone was listening to the radio and the stream was listening in too. SWEET!
Let’s just say that I decided to do a little bit of “Air Talent,” as DJ EAR calls it, by taking requests for 3 hours. Let’s just say those 3 hours were hilarious with me trying to learn how to play this small game (as in learning the wall jump thingy, which I still can’t do >.<). For a night we gave people 90% of their requests, and it felt fairly good to do so. Not only that... we had quite a few people listening in too!
That gave me an idea which I have to speak to SonicRemix about: playing the music via request for those streamers that wish it. I think it would be kind of perfect knowing that the Sonic music you would LIKE to have during your stream can be done, as it seemed to work quite well the other night.
Thanks to Sunrose12, and everyone in that stream that made the night a complete, utterly laughable success.
Tomorrow morning Sonic Radio will be broadcasting (sadly since SonicRemix is a little sick… x.x) it’s show at it’s new permanant time:
8AM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) – For all of the USA listeners on the West Coast who need a pick me up in the morning!
11AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) – In case everyone wants listen in on the East Coast and really need something to power through the down time in the day!
4PM British Standard Time (BST) – UK and all those who need a time basis to enjoy Sonic the Hedgehog music!
The show will be running an hour and a half, and it may or may not run over depending on what happens.
Now for the news that may irk our Live365 viewers who are coming here and wondering how come they can’t find the station anymore… it’s gone! That’s right… Live365 was just too expensive compared to what we could set up here at the studio. Let us put it to you this way we have cleaner music, don’t have to worry about those pesky ads unless we decide to put them up, and we won’t lose listeners when we switch to live shows!
Oh… and we save a chunk of money while we’re at it too! Let’s just hope we can get the request system up and running soon though, as we would LOVE for you to be able to listen to what you want to listen to while we’re off the air.
Hey remixers! We got a new event for you guys! Sonic Radio is announcing a new monthly event: The Sonic R Challenge!
The Sonic R Challenge is an event where we invite Sonic remixers to remix a Sonic song, based on what the challenge’s theme is.
Songs will be judged by us and given points based on creativity, talent, and use of instruments. Remixers can try for bonus points by remixing the song based on the “Bonus Category”, which could be a theme, genre, or use of particular instruments.
While the challenge will be ‘just for fun’, we do have plans to offer prizes in the future for winners. But for now, everyone wins, as we will be airing everyone’s entries on the Sonic R Show. We will also make entries available for download on our website.
The first challenge will be issued during the Sonic R Show’s Sonic Boom broadcast between 4-5 PM on Sonic R TV, with SPECIAL GUEST DJ EAR, so be sure to tune in!
If you have any further questions, you can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org!
